Policies can be written for any owner or renter occupied Single-Family Dwellings that are not any of the following:

  • Within a CBRA designated area
  • Mobile, Manufactured, or Modular home
  • Commercial property
  • Condominium unit/Condominium form of ownership (including detached condos)
  • Multi-Family Residential
  • Property in the course of construction or re-construction
  • In, on or over water, or seaward of the mean high tide. This includes structures such as decks, porches, boathouses, etc. that are attached to the home in question.
  • Has had two of more flood losses in the last 10 years, or a single loss ever over $100,000 (inflation is taken into account)
  • Condemned or unhabitable property

Please note the distinction of Single-Family Dwellings. This includes single family homes, one side of a duplex (side by side only, NOT top/bottom level duplex), townhomes and rowhomes. To be eligible a townhome/rowhome must not have an HO6 policy or master policy for their complex.

For Renter Occupied properties, the primary insured must be the homeowner, not the renter of the property.

Although rarely used, in certain situations, underwriting has the discretion to decline based on risk appetite.
